1. Information We Collect

MirrorXR’s core screen-mirroring feature operates entirely on your local network between your VR headset and your phone. No screen data, video data, or app data is transmitted off your devices during mirroring.

We collect the following types of information only when you explicitly use the “Send Feedback” feature in the app’s Settings screen. If you never use the feedback feature, no data is collected, stored, or transmitted.

When you choose to submit feedback, we collect:

  • Email address — user-provided in the feedback dialog. Marked as required so we can reply to your feedback.
  • Feedback text — user-provided description of the issue or suggestion. Optional.
  • Device information — device model, manufacturer, and Android OS version. Collected automatically and attached to feedback for compatibility diagnostics.
  • Network information — local WiFi SSID, signal strength, and local IP address. Collected automatically and attached to feedback for connection diagnostics.
  • App diagnostics — app version, app settings, and runtime logs (no screen content). Collected automatically and attached to feedback for troubleshooting.

The collection of the items above (email, device info, network info, app diagnostics) happens only at the moment you tap the “Send” button in the feedback dialog and is tied to the single feedback submission.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected feedback data solely to:

  • Respond to your support requests (using the email address you provided)
  • Diagnose and fix compatibility or crash issues reported by users
  • Improve application stability and performance

We do not use this data for targeted advertising, user profiling, behavioral tracking, automated decision-making, or sale to any third party.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your feedback data with any third party, except:

  • Cloudflare Workers — our feedback endpoint host. Used only to receive and store the feedback payload. Data is automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • Law enforcement — if legally compelled by valid legal process. We have not received such requests to date.

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share data with advertising networks or analytics providers.

4. Data Security

All feedback transmissions are encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Data at rest is stored in Cloudflare’s secure infrastructure with access limited to the developer account. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Controls

You have the following rights:

  • Choose not to send feedback. MirrorXR’s core screen-mirroring feature works entirely without ever using the feedback feature.
  • Request deletion of your data. Email [email protected] with your email address and the approximate date of submission. We will delete your feedback data within 14 days and confirm by email.
  • No account required. MirrorXR does not require user accounts, sign-ups, or login credentials of any kind.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our service:

  • Feedback data — up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Crash logs (not associated with feedback) — not stored; not transmitted.
  • Users who never send feedback — we retain no data about them.

7. Children’s Privacy

MirrorXR is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted feedback, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the data.

8. Local Network Operation (Mirroring Feature)

The core screen-mirroring feature operates entirely on your local network between your VR headset and your phone. No screen data, video frames, audio, or app data are transmitted off your devices during mirroring. The only outbound network usage from the app is when you explicitly click the “Send” button in the feedback dialog.

9. Permissions Used by MirrorXR

  • INTERNET — used only when the user clicks “Send Feedback” to transmit the feedback payload over HTTPS.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — used locally to detect connection status for the mirroring feature. No data is transmitted off-device.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — used locally for mirroring connection setup. WiFi info is included in feedback payloads only when the user submits feedback.
  • USB_PERMISSION — requested when the user plugs in a USB cable to pair devices. Used only for local device pairing. No data leaves the device.
  • INSTALL_SHORTCUT — used to create a home screen shortcut when requested. No data transmitted.

10. International Users

MirrorXR is provided from servers operated by Cloudflare (global CDN). By using the app and submitting feedback, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Cloudflare’s global infrastructure. We apply the same data-protection standards described in this policy regardless of where the data is processed.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
